I am Faheem Gillani and you are watching Sitaro Ki Batain in which we met with the personalities whom have potential to change peoples life. Today the weather is also very bright and we are invited by Tariq Tanveer CEO Agri-tourism development corporation of Pakistan.

Host: Sir why is your farm name Qadir Baksh farmhouse?

Tariq Tanveer: Actual my grandfather's name is Qadir Baksh on his name I started this business.

Host: We are observing varieties of plants there is this cactus plant? What is different about it?

Tariq Tanveer: Yes this is a cactus plant and it is more than 50 years old and its diameter is more than 50 to 60 inches.

Host: Sir you the best in your field and the agriculture tourism development corporation is a very different idea what is your motto?

Tariq Tanveer: My nursery is the first-ever designed nursery in Pakistan as you see everything is alined and symmetrical like water irrigation or walking path and people likes it to see and purchase the items so that’s why I make this idea possible.

Host: Sir how many people are with you to support this dream?

Tariq Tanveer: I started this alone but now we have board directors and chairman from Karachi to Gilgit Baltistan we have five departments in different provinces and different heads are managing the tasks. So the agriculture industry is one of the biggest in the world, especially in Pakistan.

Host: Sir why are farmers attract to your business model?

Tariq Tanveer: Farmer needs three basic steps to gain benefits farming, processing, marketing but unfortunately the processing and marketing zones are not updated by the time. So we are helping them in processing and marketing modules.

Host: What are the activities to do this? I heard about some festivals!

Tariq Tanveer: the motive of the festival is definitely to support the farmer and we are currently running the olive festival in chakwal and farmers are showing different products made of olives like jam, pickle, and oil, etc. Farmer sold their products worth 3 to 4 lac rupees.

Host: What are the barriers in your work or cause of losing the farmer’s interest?

Tariq Tanveer: The biggest cause is lack of awareness in farmers I also started with 5 acres of property and now im supporting others.

Host: Is this rubber Plant there?

Tariq Tanveer: Yes this is a rubber plant and it lives long and provides much oxygen. We also have different types of gardens with specific species of plants. Let's see

Host: kitchen gardening is also getting very popular in Pakistan

Tariq Tanveer: Yes we also promoting kitchen gardening and provide different types of plant that can grow on roof of the house and people also wants to make their own vegetables at their home

Host: how much area do you consider to make a kitchen garden?

Tariq Tanveer: you just need passion to make it and the passion is why you are gone for your own vegetables then you realize that area is not important. Let me show you more different types of vegetables.

Host: What is your big dream?

Tariq Tanveer: I dreamt to make Pakistan and Pakistani farmers big.
