Sheikh Rashid directs IG Islamabad, FIA to bring Asad Toor's attackers to justice

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has directed Inspector General (IG) Islamabad and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to bring the attackers of journalist Asad Toor to justice.

In a video statement on Saturday, the Interior Minister said that some people want to involve the country’s most sensitive agencies in the issue of Asad Toor without any reason.

Sheikh Rashid said that new footage found by the authorities will help in getting close to the perpetrators, adding that he has directed IG Islamabad and the FIA to work together and bring the attackers to justice.

In the statement, he also said, "I am going to Kuwait on a one-day visit tonight. There will be an agreement on the issuance of family and business visas, which has been suspended since 2010-11”.
