Punjab CM orders action against people who attacked ex-MPA Iftikhar Baloch

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Wednesday sought a report from the Punjab inspector general of police after former MPA Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Baloch was attacked and tortured in Jhang.

In a social media video, unidentified people were seen attacking the former MP while he was traveling by car. 

The video showed that his clothes were torn and constant abuses were being hurled at him. 

Following the incident, Hamza directed the IG to arrest those involved in the incident. 

The police said under the direction of the chief minister, a team has been formed to arrest those people who attacked the MP.

Khan initially refused police assistance, but the police registered a case after getting him convinced.
