Polling starts in second phase of KPK local bodies elections

ISLAMABAD: Polling has been started in 18 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

As many as 4,029,25 voters have been registered in Parachinar. There are 2,22,000 men voters are registered in the town and 1,80,000 women are registered. 281 polling stations have been set up in three 'tehsils' of the district. There are 81 village and neighborhood counselors in three 'Tehsils' of District Karam. 52 polling stations are declared as the most sensitive.

Meanwhile, in Mansehra, polling has been started since 8 O clock in the morning. A peacefully voting process is going on for five 'Tehsil Chairman' and 194 village counselor neighborhoods.As many as 1,09,4607 voters are registered in the district.

On the other hand, people from former tribal are participating in local bodies' elections for the first time in history.
