PM Shehbaz Sharif Chairs Meeting on KP Situation

9 News HD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired an important meeting on Thursday to discuss the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The meeting was held to review the latest situation in the province and discuss possible steps by the federal government. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah attended the meeting.
According to sources, the meeting focused on the current situation in KP and the legal matters linked to it. The participants discussed different options and looked at the steps that could be taken in the coming days.
Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar is expected to brief the meeting about the legal side of the matter. The participants also discussed constitutional options related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The government is continuing consultations as it reviews the situation in the province. The meeting is part of ongoing discussions between senior government officials about the next steps.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari has also arrived in Islamabad from Karachi. A separate meeting on the KP situation is scheduled to take place at the Presidency.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari. The consultations are expected to cover the latest developments in KP and possible legal and constitutional steps.
The government is closely reviewing the situation before deciding on its next course of action.
