One terrorist killed five arrested in an encounter with CTD in Karachi

KARACHI: One terrorist was killed and five others were arrested after an exchange of fire with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi in the wee hours of Monday.

According to details, the CTD personnel conducted an operation in the Shah Latif Town area of Karachi during which the terrorists hurled a hand grenade on the armored vehicle of the CTD.

An exchange of fire also took place between terrorists and CTD during which one terrorist was killed and five others were arrested.

According to DIG CTD, the law enforcement agency personnel also recovered explosive material, suicide jackets, and a rickshaw laden with explosive material from the arrested terrorist. He further said that the identity of the arrested terrorists is not yet known.
