Maryam Nawaz Submits Reply In NAB Plea For Bail Cancellation In Chaudhary Sugar Mills Case

LAHORE: PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday submitted a reply in a plea for bail cancellation in the Chaudhary Sugar Mills case.

In the six-page reply submitted through Amjad Pervaiz advocate, she stated that the NAB had filed the application for the bail cancellation on bad intent. "The NAB has filed the plea to suppress the voice of the opposition," he added.

She said that she had provided the details of all assets to the NAB during her physical remand. "I believe in the rule of the law and sovereignty of the institutions. I request the court to cancel the NAB plea with a fine," she demanded.

Maryam Nawaz said that the NAB was being used for political engineering.

A bench comprising of Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Asjad Javed Gharal will hear the NAB plea for cancellation of her bail.
