ISLAMABAD: Violent citizens broke the doors and forcibly entered Expo Centre in protest against lack of coronavirus vaccine on Saturday.

Citizens told the media that they had been standing in queues since morning but they were not being administered the vaccine. Following the protest, the administration shut the counter and stopped the vaccination process.

People visiting the centre for second dose were seen worried.

Meanwhile, there is shortage of vaccine in other cities including Karachi, Multan and Faisalabad. The vaccination centres have been closed in several small cities.

Sources said that the stock of Sinopharm and Sinovac had run out in Karachi. "Only Astrazeneca is available in centres," they added.
