Finance Minister Ishaq Dar meets President Arif Alvi, conveys PM's message

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with President Arif Alvi in the President's House.

During the meeting, they discussed overall political situation of the country, Imran Khan's long march and other issues. Ishaq Dar also conveyed the message of Prime Minister Shehbaz to Presiednt Arif Alvi. The issues related to the appointment of the new army chief were also discussed.

Ishaq Dar also had successive meetings with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and former President Asif Ali Zardari.

In addition, Mian Nawaz Sharif had a telephone conversation with former president Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. According to sources, the government allies have assured the Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif of their full support and sent a message that the prime minister should take steps according to the constitutional authority on important appointments and other decisions.

The country will move forward together for internal stability, economic and political stability. 

In the meetings, it was decided not to give importance to the narrative of former prime minister Imran Khan and the long march. The three major coalition parties agreed to work together in the near future. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar conveyed an important message of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as well as Mian Nawaz Sharif. Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif will meet the allies directly as soon as his health improves.
