32 activists of banned outfit arrested over fake propaganda Says Fawad Ch

Islamabad: Minister of Information and Broadcast Fawad Chaudhry Friday said that 32 activists belonging to the proscribed outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) have been taken into custody for their association in fake propaganda on social media.

On his official Twitter handle, the federal minister wrote, “32 members of the banned outfit have been seized in an immediate action”.

The minister further added that the arrested people were hawking hatred-based propaganda through forged social media accounts.

“More arrests will be made soon as the government has launched a crackdown on fake news and propaganda,” Fawad added.
