9 News HD: Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, went on sale on Friday. Fans and customers lined up outside Apple stores in Singapore, Shanghai, London and Berlin to buy the new phone.

Early reviews praised its slim design and nearly invisible hinge. However, some reviewers raised concerns about the camera, software support and using the phone for quick tasks when folded.

Here is what some customers said about the new iPhone Duo.

Paul Francis, 53, London

“I arrived at half past nine last night and waited in the rain to buy the new phone. When Apple launches a new device like this, I am willing to stand in line for it.”

Patricia Alves, 29, London

“I was worried after watching the review videos, but the phone is actually very good. Getting it through pre-order was difficult, just as people had said.”

Jerome Schaeffer, Berlin

“The price is quite high, and many software features are not available in the EU yet. However, the phone itself is very well made.”

Hugo Marfani, 21, London

“I have always been excited about iPhone launches, but this one is truly something cool. It is thinner than I expected, and folding it feels great.”

Patrick Wolter, Berlin

“What I like most is having two screens and being able to move things between them. In the future, this phone could replace the separate tablet I carry around.”

Martin Demeter, 21, London

“I joined the queue because the stock is limited. If I waited, I might not get the phone until January, and I did not want to wait that long.”

Cameron Cuthbertson, 33, London

“I think foldable phones are the future because they let you do much more than traditional phones.”

Liu Wei, 26, Shanghai

“Foldable phones look impressive at first, but their software may have some problems over time. I bought one on launch day to try it for myself.”

Lucas Li, 36, Shanghai

“Now that Apple has entered the foldable phone market, I hope these devices will become more popular.”

Customer, 33, Tokyo

“The big screen makes the phone great for watching videos and reading manga.”
