PCB Considers Replacing Babar Azam as Test Captain

PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is thinking of Babar Azam to remain captain of the Pakistani team for one format only.

This consideration came in due to his below-average performance during the home series Test against New Zealand, England, and Australia.

By the end of the home series, it is expected that decisions regarding the captaincy and the time period of the head coach and bowling coach would be shared.

Najam Sethi PCB’s Chairman's decision to make Shan Masood the vice-captain is on the list, while it was also considered to reduce Babar Azam’s influence in all three formats.

However, earlier reports were circulating that for all three formats might have separate captains.
