RAWALPINDI: A week after coordinated terror attacks in Sri Lanka left over 250 people dead, churches in Rawalpindi held special prayers for the victims.

Reverend Father Sarfaraz Simon at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Rawalpindi during Sunday’s sermon stated that terrorists have no religion. He added that victims of terror attacks in Sri Lanka were innocent while the terrorists were the enemies of humanity.

He added all religions must come together against the hatred and propaganda of the terrorists. He clarified that their prayers were for the injured and the victims of the attacks. Father Simon went on to urge the Sri Lankan government to fulfil its responsibilities to bring terrorists involved the heinous attacks to justice.

He added that the message of their scripture was one of fraternity, peace and humanity.
