LAHORE (9 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Uzma Zahid Bukhari on Monday chanted ‘Go Nawaz GO’ slogan during a protest outside the Punjab Assembly against the PAkitan Tehreek-e-Isnaf (PTI) government.
According to the details garnered, the PML-N workers staged a protest against the PTI-led government outside the Punjab Assembly, however, Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz also participated in the protest.
During the protest, the PML-N workers were raising slogans of ‘Go Imran Go’, ‘jadu tony ki sarkar nahi chaly gy’ and ‘Lathi Goli ki sarkar nahi chaly gi’. Meanwhile, Uzma Bukhari’ tongue slipped when they were chanting ‘Go Imran GO’ as she chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’.
However, the PML-N leader was visibly embarrassed when the camera caught her chanting ‘Go Nawaz Go’ instead of ‘Go Imran Go’. She apologised immediately when informed by others of the mistake she had made.
It is worth mentioning here that earlier before PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Sabir Shah had also been caught on camera chanting the ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan. Go Nawaz Go is a political slogan in Pakistan, popularized during the Azadi March and Inqilab March protests against the former premier Nawaz Sharif by the PTI and the PAT.
Earlier today, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) on Monday decided to resign from parliamentary committees of Punjab Assembly for not making Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman.
According to the details garnered, the decision was taken in a PML-N’s parliamentary party meeting under the chair of Hamza Shehbaz. The PML-N leaders also expressed reservations on the draft of Local Government Act during the meeting.
