Ramadan Gold Cup Hockey Under Floodlights On May 19

Ramadan Gold Cup Hockey under the floodlights will be commenced at Qazi Mohib Hockey Stadium Bannu from May 19 with leading teams vie for top honour.

This was stated by former Assistant Director sports and international hockey player Anwar Rashid Khan while talking to APP here on Thursday. He said the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the tournament have already kicked off.

Anwar Rashid said that leading teams comprising Khushab, Sargodha, Mardan, Kohat, Pakistan Air Force Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wapda and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will take part in the single league basis.

Anwar Rashid said that besides these teams from other part of the province, leading clubs affiliated with District Hockey Association Bannu would also take part. He also thanked Regional Sports Office Directorate of Sports KP Aamir Zahir Shah for extending support in holding the Cup, which was the annual feature of the District Hockey Association Bannu Calendar. He said that each match would start at 8:30 pm.
