PDM leadership meets today to discuss long march strategy

ISLAMABAD: Meeting of PDM leadership will be held today to discuss the strategy of the long march as well as the political situation of the country arising after Prime Minister Imran Khan secured the vote of confidence from the National Assembly.

As per details, the meeting will be chaired by PDM and JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman while former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will virtually attend the meeting. Sources said that former president Asif Ali Zardari is also expected to participate.

Sources further said that the opposition alliance is likely to approve candidates for Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is eyeing Chairmanship for newly elected Senator Yousaf Raza Gillani; however, the party has said that the final decision in this regard will be taken by the leadership of the alliance.
