Pak vs WI: 3rd T20 between to be played in Karachi today

Karachi: The third and final Twenty20 cricket match between Pakistan and the West Indies will be played in Karachi today (Thursday).

The match will start at 06:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Pakistan is leading the series by 2-0.

On the other hand, following the PCR test conducted by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), more West Indian players and support staff were quarantined after they tested positive for COVID-19.

The official statement issued by Cricket West Indies was confirmed on Thursday morning.

The statement said that "Three players: wicketkeeper/batsman Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, all-rounder Justin Greaves; along with Assistant Coach Roddy Estwick, and Team Physician Dr. Akshai Mansingh returned positive results in the latest round of testing carried out by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)".

Therefore, all three players will miss the upcoming matches and all five individuals will remain isolated from the rest of the West Indies squad and are now under the care and supervision provided by the medical officials, the WI Cricket statement read.

They will remain quarantined for 10 days or until they return negative PCR test results.
