NAB SUBMITS EXTRA DOCUMENTS AGAINST SHEHBAZ’S BAIL IN SC

ISLAMABAD (9 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday submitted extra documents in the Supreme Court (SC) against the bail of Pakistan Muslim league-N (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the details garnered, the anti-graft watchdog body submitted extra documents against the bail of Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana Housing Scheme and Ramazan Sugar Mills cases.
The documents also included the reference of Ashiana Housing scandal and the records of interim reference. The corruption watchdog body has also submitted the interim investigation report for cancellation of Shehbaz Sharif’s bail.
Meanwhile, the hearing for the bail cancellation of Shehbaz Sharif and Fawad Hassan Fawad will be resumed on May 2.
NAB moves SC against the bail of Shehbaz Sharif
The top court issued notice to the opposition leader on the NAB appeal challenging Lahore High Court’s verdict, wherein it granted bail to him in the Ashiana Housing scam.
The apex court also issued notice to ex-secretary (Implementation) to Chief Minister Punjab Fawad Hassan Fawad for his alleged involvement in the scam. Another main accused ex-Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema has also been issued the notice.
The top court has also issued notices to other 10 accused persons in the scam and decided that the bench will hear all the connected petitions in the case.
