MOTHER’S DAY BEING CELEBRATED TODAY

LAHORE (9 News) – People across the world including Pakistan are celebrating Mother’s Day to pay tributes and to express their love affection for their mothers on Sunday (today).

The day is observed on the second Sunday of May every year in order to honor mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers for their contribution to family and society.

It is an annual event but is held at different dates in the calendar, depending on the country. Many people send cards or gifts to their mother or mother figure or make a special effort to visit her.

Like every year, the day is being celebrated with the spirit and enthusiasm various public and private organizations and schools arranged programs for Mother’s Day celebrations.
