JAPANESE ENVOY ASSURES FULL SUPPORT TO ENHANCE RELATIONS WITH PAKISTAN

ISLAMABAD (9 News) – Japanese Envoy Kuninori Matsuda called on Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday. According to a statement issued by Foreign Office on Tuesday, the two sides discussed a wide range of issues and expressed satisfaction at the positive growth in relations between Pakistan and Japan.
The Japanese envoy briefed the FM Qureshi about his upcoming two-day visit to Japan on the invitation of Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono from 22nd of this month.
A day earlier, Pakistan and Bahrain have signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) regarding promotion of bilateral trade and investment, avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion.
These MoUs were signed by Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi and hid Bahraini Counterpart Skiekh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa in Islamabad on Monday.
The two leaders agreed for further enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The foreign minister also thanked Bahrain for supporting the OIC resolution on regional peace and security in South Asia. He also said that the dangers regarding the acts of aggression by India is being increased due to the upcoming local election in India.
FM Qureshi further mentioned that Pakistan will strongly retaliate to any misadventure by India.
