The IHC on Thursday has issued notice to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in the petition filed against the Tik Tok Ban In Pakistan

According to the details, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned a senior PTA officer in person.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition filed by Ashfaq Jutt, a Lahore-based sportsman and athlete.

Ashfaq, in his petition, said that his income increased tenfold subsequent to using the platform. However, due to the unlawful arbitrary PTA ban, his business was seriously affected.

The petition states that PTA’s action of Tik Tok Ban In Pakistan through a press release was in violation of the mandatory requirement to communicate a formal and speaking order while exercising its power under Section 37(1) of the Act.
