Sindh CM Once Again Apologizes From NAB Appearance

KARACHI (9 News) – Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah has once again apologized from appearing before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a fake accounts case on Monday.

Murad Ali Shah requested the NAB to set another date for his interrogation in a case pertaining to offering subsidies to Thatta and Dadu sugar mills through improper channels.

The NAB Rawalpindi has summoned the chief minister on Sept 24 (tomorrow) for interrogation.

On September 21, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that Syed Murad Ali Shah will remain the chief minister in jail even though he is arrested.

It is worth mentioning here that Murad Ali Shah had skipped NAB Karachi appearance in fake accounts and mega money laundering cases on September 17.

He has sought a week to appear before the NAB. He said that he would appear before the NAB in Islamabad and record his statement after a week.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the report of the joint investigation team probing the fake accounts case. A 15-member team was in Karachi.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had appeared before the Supreme Court-formed joint investigation team (JIT) in Islamabad which was probing the money laundering and fake bank accounts case involving transactions worth billions of rupees.
