Lahore: The district administration has decided to seal seven more areas of Lahore under the government’s smart lockdown policy to tackle rising cases of COVID-19.
According to details, the district administration has decided to seal more Coronavirus hotspots in Lahore to prevent further spread of the virus.
These areas include WAPDA Town, EME, Green Town and Chungi Amar Sadhu Main Bazar. There will be a selective lockdown on Johar Town and Township. Johar Town’s C-block and Township’s A-2 will be under strict lockdown.
These areas will remain under restriction on movement for a week and only shops relating to grocery, medical stores and milk will remain open in these areas.
It is pertinent to remember that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 237,849 in Pakistan on Wednesday, while the death toll stands at 4922.
According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), more than 2,980 cases of coronavirus were reported while 83 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
As many as 140,965 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases.
