Veterans express confidence in Pakistan Army leadership, pledge support

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir hosted a reception in honour of Pakistan Army veterans on the occasion of Independence Day.
The event was attended by a large number of retired officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to veterans for their valuable contributions to Pakistan’s defence and national security.
He praised the role of ex-service members in strengthening national resilience, describing their experience and guidance as a valuable institutional asset for the Pakistan Army. He also highlighted the importance of their guidance in dealing with an evolving security environment.
ISPR said the veterans expressed confidence in the leadership of Pakistan Army and reaffirmed their continued support to the armed forces in confronting emerging security challenges
The former servicemen also pledged to continue contributing to national unity, peace, stability and prosperity.
During the reception, the sacrifices, experience and longstanding contributions of veterans to the defence of the country were acknowledged and appreciated.
