Rift in PML-N over award of Senate ticket to Mushahid Ullah

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) faced criticism from party cadres over awarding of Senate tickets due to which it has failed to finalize the list of candidates.

According to sources, the party’s decision to grant Senate tickets to Mushahid Ullah and Azam Nazir has generated criticism from two groups of the party.

Sources claimed that the Shehbaz Sharif group has opposed the ticket to Mushahid Ullah Khan citing his ill health and urged the leadership of the party to grant the ticket to some other active leader of the party.

On the other hand, the second group opposed the ticket to Azam Nazir Tarar and said that Tarar has not made any sacrifices for the party and the leadership should allocate the ticket to Zahid Hamid instead of Asim Nazir
