Re-polling ordered at 23 AJK polling stations on August 15

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has ordered re-polling at a total of 23 polling stations in two constituencies of Bagh, with voting scheduled for August 15.

Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal said the decision was taken after receiving reports from the relevant returning officers.

According to the Election Commission, re-polling will be held at nine polling stations in LA-15 Bagh-2 and 14 polling stations in LA-16 Bagh-3.

In LA-15 Bagh-2, results from 204 of the constituency's 213 polling stations have been received by the returning officer. In LA-16 Bagh-3, results from 172 of the 186 polling stations have been received.

Re-polling in LA-15 Bagh-2 will take place at polling stations 114, 135, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148 and 186.

Similarly, voters will cast their ballots again at polling stations 28, 29, 40, 49, 50, 51, 77, 91, 109, 110, 111, 112, 143 and 149 in LA-16 Bagh-3 on August 15.

The chief election commissioner urged voters in both constituencies to visit their designated polling stations on the scheduled date and exercise their right to vote to elect their representatives for the next five years.

Meanwhile, Awami Dast-o-Bazu candidate Sardar Sajid Abbasi has been declared successful from LA-14 DhirKot, Bagh West, while Pakistan Peoples Party candidate and AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has won from LA-17 Haveli.
