Punjab CM Changes Portfolios Of Few Ministers, Retains Charge Of Two Depts

LAHORE (9 News) – The Punjab government has reassigned the portfolios of a few provincial minister today. 

chief minister Sradar Usman Buzdar has changed the portfolio of Information & Culture Minister Syed Sumsam Bukhari and assigned him the charge of Consolidation of Holdings department.

Industries, Commerce & Investment Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal has been assigned the additional portfolio of Information & Culture department.

The government has withdrawn the portfolio of Tourism department from Higher Education Minister Yasir Humayun and given it to Youth Affairs/Sports Minister Muhammad Taimoor Khan. Khan will now look after the ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology & Tourism department.

Law  & Parliamentary Affairs Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja, who is currently holding the additional charge of Local Government & Community Development department, has also been assigned the additional charge of Social Welfare & Baitul Maal department.

Social Welfare & Baitul Maal department Minister Muhammad Ajmal has been appointed Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team.

CM retains two portfolios 

CM Buzdar, however, will retain the portfolios of Local Government & Community Development and Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries departments in terms of rule 3(6) of the Punjab government Rules of Business 2011.
