Prime Minister Imran Khan To Pay One-Day Visit To Gilgit Baltistan Today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Gilgit Baltistan to announce mega uplift package worth Rs 250 billion on Friday.

During the visit, the prime minister will inaugurate three major Ehsaas programmes and other development projects. He will also inaugurate SEO Fiber II Internet service.

He will unveil a plaque of GB Development Plan and distribute Ehsas Scholarship Cheques under Kamyab Jawan Program besides addressing the participants of the ceremony.

In a statement, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Sania Nishtar said that the prime minister will announce the roll out of Ehsaas Nashonuma, Ehsaas Secondary Education Stipends and Ehsaas One Woman One Account initiatives for the people of Gilgit Baltistan.

Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed will brief the prime minister about tourism initiatives during a meeting at Chief Minister Secretariat in Chinar Garden Gilgit. Later, Imran Khan will visit the site of Diamer Basha Dam where the WAPDA chairman will brief him about the mega project.
