ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to hold meetings with members of the National Assembly to take them into confidence amid the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
According to a private Tv report, PM Imran Khan will hold meetings with several members of the lower house of the parliament today and on Sunday and will discuss a no-confidence motion against him.
Sources further said that the premier will also apprise the lawmakers about plan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to thwart the joint opposition’s motion.
The reservations of the PTI lawmakers will also be addressed in the meetings, sources added.
PML-Q Secretary-General Tariq Basheer Cheema Friday categorically rejected the claims by Minister for Information and Broadcast Fawad Chaudhry and said that his party did not make any promise with the government about the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry had announced that the PML-Q’s reservations had largely been addressed and all the allied parties would formally announce full confidence in the prime minister before convening of the National Assembly session for the no-confidence motion.
