Pakistani rupee inches up against US dollar in interbank market

The Pakistani rupee registered a mild increase in its value against the US dollar in the interbank market on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the information received from the money dealers, the local currency appreciated by 11 paisas and was currently being traded at Rs279.20.

On Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee had recorded a marginal gain against the US dollar to settle for the day at Rs279.31.

In a key development, the country has stepped closer to see another coalition government with various political parties announcing their intention to join the other.

Former allies including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and others on Tuesday announced to form a coalition government and also invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to enter “reconciliation” process for the sake of the country.
