Pakistan Stock Exchange survives crash as KSE-100 index loses over 2,200 points

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) survived a crash on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index losing over 2,200 points.
The KSE-100 index witnessed a decrease of 4.18 percent.
Trading opened at 45,369 points and it dropped to the lowest level of 43,168 points. Due to the crash-like situation, the investors lost billions of rupees.
On the other hand, the dollar price increased by 67 paisas to Rs176.15.
In January 2020, the decrease was witnessed up to 43,000 points, while it dropped to 27,267 points in March 2020. In August 2019, the PSX had dropped to 28,764 points, while it was trading at 38,345 points in August 2018.
