Omer Sarfraz Cheema removed as Punjab Governor

Islamabad: Umar Sarfraz Cheema has been removed from the position of the Punjab Governor. A notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division.

The Punjab Assembly Speaker will be the acting Punjab governor till new posting.

The governor has been denotified as per law on the completion of time period of the summary, the notification says.
