The Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the plea for the restoration of Nawaz Sharif as the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) today.

Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of the LHC will hear the petition as an objection case. He will order to either remove or keep the objection of the registrar’s office on the plea.

It is to be noted here that the registrar’s office of the LHC had objected to the admissibility of the plea.

“Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court. The High Court has no authority to hear this case,” the registrar’s office had objected.

“The petitioner can approach the Supreme Court,” it had added.

The petition had been filed by Muhammad Afaq Ahmed Advocate. The federal government, election commission, prime minister, Imran Khan and others had been made respondents in the petition.
