ISLAMABAD: Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah has expressed his wish to work on oil exploration in Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference along with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday, he said that Pakistani medical experts were playing a key role in the battle against coronavirus in Kuwait. "Pakistani community in Kuwait is an integral part of the development of our country and the matter of their problems is being handled seriously. We have discussed the ways to resolve their issues," he said.

Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah appreciated the role of Pakistan in supporting Kuwait during its difficult time.

To a question about the Kashmir issue, he said: "We stand with the UN resolutions in resolving the issue of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The issue should be resolved amicably without the interference of any other state," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan and Kuwait have also agreed to resolve long-standing visa issues of the Pakistani community.

"Kuwait has acknowledged Pakistan's efforts in challenging pandemic situation. Kuwait has expressed interest in inviting more doctors, nurses, and technicians to Kuwait," he added.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi hosted a dinner in honor of his Kuwaiti counterpart Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan. During the meeting, the prime minister stressed the need for forging deeper economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.
