LAHORE: The Election Commission of  Pakistan (ECP) is understood to have decided to meet for a consultative meeting today over the nomination of Punjab CM as the parliamentary committee failed to reach a consensus over the matter of appointment of the Punjab caretaker chief minister.

MM News has learnt that the ECP will decide about the name of the caretaker chief minister of the province within two days, is set to hold final meeting tomorrow (Sunday) at around 6pm after which it will notify the name of Caretaker CM of Punjab.

It may be mentioned here that the PTI-PML-Q alliance had suggested names of Naveed Akram Cheema and Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera as candidates for the post of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, whereas the PMLN-led opposition tabled the names of Mohsin Naqvi and Ahad Cheema.
