Rawalpindi: A police constable was martyred, while a Sub-Inspector and another constable suffered injuries after unidentified assailants opened fire on a police vehicle near CDA Chowk on early Tuesday.

Police said the incident took place in the area of Pir Widhai police station. Soon after the incident, a police contingent reached the spot and launched a search of the runaway suspects who were riding motorcycles.
