Bilawal surprised over Joe Biden’s remarks, decides to summon US ambassador

KARACHI: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he has been caught with surprise by remarks of the US President Joe Biden about Pakistan’s nuclear program, and Pakistan will summon the US ambassador and issue demarche.
Addressing a press conference at the Bilawal House in Karachi on Saturday, he expressed concern over Biden’s statement and raised the issue with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He said Pakistan’s nuclear program “meet each and every international standard in accordance with IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) as far as security and safety is concerned”.
He said instead of Pakistan, any question regarding nuclear safety should be directed to our neighbor India, who very recently accidentally fired a missile into Pakistani territory.
Earlier in his presser, Bilawal expressed solidarity with flood victims and said that several districts across the province of Sindh were still inundated.
He said “as the foreign minister, I am trying to not only collect aid from the world for them but also prepare for the obstacle upcoming of reconstruction and rehabilitation.”
