“World Peace Council” will prove a milestone for the promotion of interfaith dialogue and harmony in the world. Addressing a press conference here Tuesday after meeting of the representatives of different religious schools of thought, Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi underlined that World Peace Council would prove a milestone to contain rising Islamophobia in the western world. He added that the World Peace Council would be comprised of representatives of different religious schools of thought to promote interfaith dialogue and harmony.
The leadership of different religious schools of thought while condemning the desecration of the Holy Quran in Norway stated that religious leaders from all over the world was committed to containing extremism. The conference demanded the Norwegian government take the culprit to the task. It announced that Azmat-e-Quran would be described in Friday congregations on 29th November all over Pakistan to glorify the dignity of the Quran. The scholars stated that world leaders had been demonstrating criminal silence on the miseries of Kashmiris.
