Paragon Housing case: NAB court reserves verdict on Khawaja brothers’ acquittal pleas

(Lahore News): Throughout the event, the court has led to present the accused of hearing. The Khawaja brothers are accused of embezzling almost Rs2 billion. In most prior hearings, their defence counsel had maintained prior to the court the particulars of banking transactions of the previous ten years were passed over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

On April 26, the NAB Lahore had accepted the filing of a mention against the Khawaja brothers and Nadeem Zia for its corruption. Qaiser Amin Butt, the manager of Paragon Housing Society, was contained in the question initiated by the NAB, and he was detained in November this past year. He agreed to turn approver from the Khawaja brothers and Zia.

Butt and Zia created a firm”Air Avenue” from the calendar year 2003; nevertheless, the title was afterwards shifted to Paragon City personal (Pvt) Limited. On December 11, 2018, Khawaja brothers were arrested by the liability watchdog following the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected their bail.

The NAB had started an investigation into the alleged scam in November a year ago following protests were staged by having a variety of sufferers and held a media conference at the Lahore Press Club from what they termed the fraud of the home society.
