PAF ready to guard country’s airspace: Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan


(Islamabad News): Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said on Saturday that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was Willing to Shield the blue Heavens of Pakistan. The air chief said sacrifices of our forefathers demanded unity and patriotism amongst us.

About the Kashmir dispute, he said: “We are standing shoulder to shoulder with our Kashmiri brethren in their battle for the best of self-determination.”Later, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan laid floral wreath and offered Fateha at the martyrs’ monument.

Also a number of airmen and Chief staff officers attended the service. In accordance with the Air Force Day, a wreath-laying ceremony was held in the tomb of nation’s youngest Nishan-e-Haider Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed at Karachi.

A PAF contingent headed by Air Vice Marshal Ghulam Abbas Ghumman, Air Officer Commanding, Southern Air Commandfateha and placed wreath of Rashid Minhas Shaheed on behalf of their atmosphere chief. The centered paid homage to the pilot that had forfeited his life for their motherland’s defence, demonstrating conviction and courage.
