The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday declared their Test and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads for the Australia tour, beginning next month. Pakistan has called three teenage bowlers in their Test group, together with 16-year-old Naseem Shah being the youngest participant in the group. The two teens are Musa Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi, both aged 19.
Besides such kids, Pakistan has remembered Mohammad Abbas and Imran Khan older from the Test group. Abbas, 29, has played 14 Tests, together with the previous one being in January 2017 at Sydney, although the Imran Khan sr has played nine Tests.
Musa has been appointed from the T20I side together with uncapped batsman Khushdil Shah and wrist spinner Usman Qadir. 37-year-old Mohammad Irfan additionally makes a comeback to the Pakistan national team. Hasan Ali was ruled from this tour because of back injury while Sarfaraz Ahmed, who had been sacked in the Pakistan chief character in Tests and T20Is week, was dropped out of the squads.
Aside from bowling section, Pakistani selectors headed by Misbah-ul-Haq have made changes within their batting. Opener Abid Ali and batsman Iftikhar Ahmed were appointed from the Test side, while debutant Khushdil Shah was contained at the T20I side.
Chief selector Misbah, who’s also the head coach of the Pakistani group, stated he wants to play with”aggressive, attacking cricket”. He added they wish to succeed from the game format and grow up the ranks. Pakistan is scheduled to perform with T20Is and two Tests, beginning November 3.
