ISLAMABAD (9 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that India has accepted Kashmir a mutual dispute.
he said that US President Donald Trump had raised the Kashmir issue as per his promise. “The silence of the United Nations will be a criminal negligence. The nation stands with the Kashmiris till their last breath,” he said.
The foreign minister said that two nuclear powers are pitched against each other. “In the UN General Assembly, our focus will be Kashmir,” he said.
He said that prime minister’s address to the nation had highlighted the long-standing Kashmir dispute. “The PM made the world understand the designs of India. The prime minister has given the Kashmir policy.”
He said that all Pakistanis are united over the Kashmir issue. “The curfew in IOK has entered the 22nd day. About 12 million Kashmiris have been besieged in their houses. They are facing shortage of food and medicines. On August 5, India revoked the controversial special status of Occupied Kashmir. Now it is changing the population ratio of the valley,” he said.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the occupied forces are kidnapping children and abusing human rights. “The parliament has unilateral Indian act through a unanimous resolution,” he said.
He said that India is trying to divert the world attention by linking Kashmiris’ independence movement to terrorism. “Indian acts are threatening peace in South Asia. Indian forces have so far martyred 100,000 people and raped 12,000 women.”
The minister said that Pakistan will approach each forum for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per UN resolutions. “In future, the implementation of the Indus Water Treaty will be a big challenge,” he maintained.
Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed said that the prime minister had given the Kashmir policy. “The world knows that there is no room for traditional war for Pakistan,” he said.
