Govt decides to allow JUI-F to hold Azadi March

(Islamabad News): The government has made a decision to permit the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) to maintain the Azadi March after this month. A government spokesman on Wednesday said the resistance is going to have the approval if the Azadi March stays within the constraints of this constitution and regulations.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has presided over a meeting of this committee that the government had set up to convince the JUI-F to cancel its own Azadi March.”The government believes in democratic norms,” the prime minister was quoted as saying during the meeting.

The government committee containing Pervez Khattak, Asad Qaiser, Asad Umar, Elahi, Sadiq Sanjrani, Shafqat Mehmood and Noorul Haq Qadri was put up following Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared to some bracket a march on Islamabad on October 31.
