ISLAMABAD (9 News) – After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart and former finance minister Asad Umar, Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Friday also refused to take charge of alternate ministry as aviation minister.
According to the reports, the former minister for petroleum Ghulam Sarwar was given Ministry of Aviation, but he refused assuming charge of it. Reportedly, Sarwar is not happy after being removed from the petroleum ministry.
The sources also revealed the reasons behind to reshuffling of the federal cabinet. They said that the ministers were changed from their ministries due to the secret reports, monitoring and the public opinion. It also said that the prime minister was disappointed from the performances by some ministers.
Asad Umar quits Finance Ministry
A day earlier, Asad Umar quit from his office. In a tweet, he said that: “As part of a cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Imran Khan desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance. However, I have obtained his consent to not take any cabinet position.”

He said that he strongly believes that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the best hope for Pakistan and Inshallah will make a ‘Naya Pakistan’.
Major reshuffle taken place in federal cabinet
Earlier, a major reshuffle has taken place in the federal cabinet as the portfolios of several ministers have been changed.
