Fire guts 70 shops at Sadiqabad’s Landa Bazar


SADIQABAD (9Newshd): A fire erupted in Sadiqabad’s Landa Bazaar [used garments market] and engulfed over 70 shops causing loss worth crores of rupees, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

An emergency was imposed by the rescue teams and help was summoned from Rahim Yar Khan as well. The inferno was doused by seven fire tenders in two hours, and the cooling process was started afterward.

It has been learned that the fire broke out owing to a short circuit. It was the fourth time in the last five years that the Sadiqabad Landa Bazaar was gutted in a massive blaze.
