LAHORE (9 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has arrived at Jati Umra for a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in Raiwind.
The PML-N vice president had extended the invitation during a telephonic conversation to Bilawal. During a news conference, Bilawal confirmed that he had been invited by Maryam for the meeting. “Solving the problems of the country is not in the hands of just one party,” Bilawal said.
“So what if you put one family in jail, in fact, put the entire party in jail. We will not come under any pressure,” he added.
The meeting will be attended by a few close aides from both political parties.
PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Qaira, Chaudhry Manzoor, Hassan Murtaza and Mustafa Nawaz Khokar are expected to join Bilawal for the meeting. While Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Zubair and Ayaz Sadiq will join the meeting from the PML-N side.
Earlier, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz has invited PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto for a meeting at Raiwind. The invitation was extended during a phone call made by Maryam Nawaz. Sources in the PML-N said that the PPP chairman will visit Jati Umra at 1:30pm. They added that close aides of both parties will participate in the meeting.
Leaders of both parties will exchange their views about the arrest of leaders by the government.
During a meeting in Ramazan, it was decided that the anti-government movement will be given the final shape after Eidul Fitr. In this regard, the role of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman will be vital.
The PML-N leader had said in a tweet a day earlier that the meeting with the PPP leader was finalised after taking Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif into confidence.
“This & all other decisions in the party are taken after the approval of MNS [Mian Nawaz Sharif] & MSS [Mian Shehbaz Sharif’ & taking the senior leaders into confidence. Discipline & part hierarchy are followed by all including me,” she tweeted.
