Peshawar: Authorities start fining people for not wearing a mask


PESHAWAR – A citizen in Peshawar has been fined for not wearing a face mask in a public place to counter the coronavirus pandemic which is spreading quickly, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

According to details, assistant commissioner of Peshawar handed over a fine receipt worth Rs 1,000 to the violator. The authorities have said that they will ensure implementation on the rules announced by the government.

It is pertinent here to mention that markets in Peshawar have been crowded with people since relaxation in lockdown and citizens are not following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
