RAWALPINDI (9 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday arrived China on an official visit, Director General Inter Services Public (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Monday.
In his tweet, the DG ISPR said that the army chief will join Prime Minister Imran Khan for meeting with Chinese prime minister and the president during his visit.
Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor also said that the COAS would meet Chinese military leadership including People Liberation Army (PLA) Army Commander, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission and Commander Southern Theater Command.
“COAS arrived China on official visit. COAS will meet Chinese mil leadership including PLA Army Commander, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission & Commander Southern Theater Command. COAS will also join PM for meeting with Chinese PM and President,” he tweeted.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Beijing later today on a three-day visit to China. Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed, Planning Minister Khusru Bakhtiyar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh will also accompany him.
During his visit, the prime minister will hold consultation with the Chinese leadership on the Kashmir issue. He will separately meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang.
He will also discuss expansion of projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework besides cooperation in agriculture, industrial and socio-economic sectors. He is also likely to address China Pakistan Business Forum in Beijing to further promote economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.
PM Imran Khan will also meet with Chinese entrepreneurs and heads of different companies during the visit.
The two sides will discuss immediate implementation of Phase-II of China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement, signed between the two strategic cooperative partners to further enhance bilateral business and trade.
