Unknown assailants open fire at Naseem Vicky, Agha Majid

FAISALABAD: Some unknown people opened fire at stage actors Naseem Vicky and Agha Majid.

According to a Police spokesperson, the firing took place on January 20. “Both actors are safe. FIR had been reported after receiving the news of the incident. Faisalabad CPO Ghulam Mubashir Maikan had a meeting with Naseem Vicky on the instructions of Punjab IG Rao Sardar Ali Khan. All possible steps are being taken to arrest unknown suspects,” it added.

Faisalabad CPO said that teams have been made to find and arrest the accused. “Actors are precious assets of our country. Their security is our first priority,” he maintained.

Meanwhile, Talking to 92 News Naseem Vicky said that he does not have enmity with anyone. “I was along with Agha Majid and contractor of theater. Car tires have been punctured and other damages have been done to the car. We all are safe. We do not know why this firing happened. We are artists and we earn from it,” he added.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident. He has asked for a report from Faisalabad RPO. “Firing incident on artists is tragic, accused should be arrested soon,” he maintained.
