National Assembly holds session

ISLAMABAD:  The session of National Assembly (NA) is underway in the Parliament House today (Friday) to pass Elections (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021.

According to details, President Arif Alvi summoned the session of the National Assembly in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, said a notification.

This is the first session of the fourth parliamentary year of the National Assembly, and overall 36th session.  

The Election Bill was earlier passed by the NA but it was not adopted by the Senate within 90 days.
